Honeycomb Beach is a high quality residential development of flats which was built on Boscombe Seafront in Bournemouth by Barratt Homes. Due to the premium nature of the development, Barratt Homes’ brief to 24 Acoustics was to provide acoustic sound design solutions that not only complied with, but significantly surpassed the sound insulation requirements specified by Part E of Building Regulations.
Despite the technical challenges posed by the development’s steel frame construction, sound insulation of the completed site was extensively tested and found to exceed both the developer’s and future residents’ aspirations.
