Steve is a seasoned acoustic consultant with over 25 years' experience, working for leading developers, operators and local authorities. He has a deep understanding of how noise integrates with the planning system and how to minimise planning risk. Steve's experience also covers contentious issues and includes giving evidence at planning inquiries, enforcement action, and various Court hearings. Steve has extensive experience and knowledge in matters relating to low frequency noise and vibration within buildings. Steve manages and oversees work produced by the 24 Acoustics team.

Acoustic design of a large multi-use development which combined new residential dwellings above a cinema together with an adjacent hotel
Reserved matters application to large urban extension with complex existing industrial noise sources
Calculation of groundborne noise and vibration using numerical modelling from existing and safeguarded railway lines
Advice and design of monitoring systems for several Crossrail development sites, including an innovative alert system for a live LUL control room
Control of low frequency amplified sound from a large Grade II* listed function room in central London, following sustained noise complaints

Steve is a former Vice Chairman of the Association of Noise Consultants and former Chairman of the Association of Noise Consultants’ Membership Steering Group. Steve is also former Secretary of the Southern Branch of the Institute of Acoustics. Steve is the co-holder of a UK patent for a novel sound processing method, used in work undertaken by 24 Acoustics
