Neil has over 20 years’ experience in acoustic consultancy and advises on all aspects of acoustic performance (noise and vibration), including planning matters, sound insulation, reverberation, noise complaints, building services and increasingly often, the overlap of acoustic performance with the thermal modelling required to consider overheating in dwellings.
Neil’s experience includes a broad range of developments, working for end users, local authorities, developers, contractors and individuals. The list of projects is always increasing and includes university buildings, schools, music and drama performance spaces, medical training facilities, military, law and police buildings, entertainment venues, leisure facilities, residential developments and hotels. Within this list, some items of interest include hotels near airports, car stackers, basement chillers, bespoke services systems, underwater noise from piling, bars, music venues and 24-hour gyms in residential developments.
